Empowering Media revamps Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Web site

Thomas Ockers, CEO/President of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center said, "Brookhaven Memorial Hospital has a good story to tell our community.Working with Empowering Media has helped us to broadcast that message. Larry Ludwig, Chief Executive Officer of Empowering Media, stated, "The web site redesign helps create a strong presence on the Internet and within Brookhaven's community". He continued, "Not only is the site easy to navigate, very pleasing to the eye, it is also very easy to update". One of the requirements of Brookhaven Hospital was to make the web site easy to update content without the need of technical skills. The news articles, calendar and physician directory sections are all updated via a web based administration control panel. The technology, developed by Empowering Media, allows web site development to be quicker and easier. Larry Ludwig states, "Without the use of our content management system, the development time would have been twice as long".
All changes made in the administration area are instantly updated on the web site. A Java based HTML editor allows the formatting of content, which is similar to using a word processor on your computer.
The Physician's Directory makes it very easy for the community to search for the nearest physician in their area. The physician directory can not only search by location, but also by specialty and last name.
